A Traditional Owner-led native plant nursery at 96 Gap Road, The Rock. We collect seed on Country, grow the plants that belong here, and share the knowledge that has cared for this landscape since time immemorial.
Caring for Country, and building an economy that pays for it
The nursery serves our community first. Its commercial work, supplying plants and seed to farms, developers and land managers, is run through SW Yiradyuri Group, our commercial arm, so that what the nursery earns flows back into caring for Country and our people.

A place to learn with Country
The nursery sits on land purchased for its cultural significance, near Kengal Aboriginal Place. It is a working classroom for anyone who wants to understand the plants of this Country and the knowledge that comes with them.
Learning on Country
School groups, universities and organisations can visit for guided walks, plant identification and hands-on propagation. The nursery is a key part of our With-Country Camp.
Cultural plant knowledge
We share knowledge of plants traditionally used by Yiradyuri people for food, fibre, medicine and ceremony, under cultural protocols that protect that knowledge and the people who hold it.
Seed collection and the seed bank
Seed is collected across our property and Country, building a seed bank that supports conservation, cultural burn recovery and revegetation of the landscapes it came from.
Research and development
In parallel with growing, we research bush foods, botanicals and fibres with university partners, including a traditional food and fibre plant unique to our Country.
Growers, seed collectors and friends groups
The nursery works alongside other growers, seed collectors, friends groups and community networks across the region. Together we share knowledge, protect local provenance and build the capacity to return native plants to Country at scale. If your group would like to work with us, we'd love to hear from you.
Every plant grown here carries its story. When it goes back into the ground, so does the knowledge of the people who belong to this Country.
