This Privacy Policy explains how the Southern West Yiradyuri Clans Land, Water and Sky Country Aboriginal Corporation (the Corporation, ICN 9989, ABN 51 772 045 549) collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information, including through our website (www.yiradyuri.au) and our online donation platform.
The Corporation is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), set out in Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Website data
Our website collects certain data to record a visitor’s activity, including every page visited, how long a visitor spends on a page, and the order pages are visited in. We do this using cookies and Google Analytics. Cookies give the server information about a visitor’s website use and preferences, used to improve the website, with no personally identifying information stored. Google Analytics uses cookies to track and report website traffic using non-personally identifiable information, used only for statistical and web development purposes.
Personal information we collect
The Corporation does not collect, use or disclose personal information (information capable of identifying you as an individual) other than information you choose to provide, for example through enquiry forms, online databases, or our donation form.
Visitor logs are used for statistical purposes only and include your server’s address, top level domain (e.g. .com, .gov, .au), date and time of visit, pages downloaded, and browser used. No attempt is made to identify individual users or their browsing activity.
Donations
When you make a donation through our website, we collect your name, email address, and any other details you provide through the donation form, along with your donation amount. Payment processing is handled by our third party payment processor, Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly, the Corporation does not store your full card details. Stripe may store or process this information on servers located overseas, further information is available in Stripe’s privacy policy.
We use your donation information to process your donation, issue a receipt for tax purposes given our status as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), and maintain financial and donor records as required for reporting to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Where you have agreed, we may also use your contact details to send you updates about our work.
Use and disclosure
Any personal information you provide will only be used and disclosed for the purpose for which you provided it. The Corporation will only use or disclose your personal information for a secondary purpose with your consent, or where otherwise authorised or required by Australian Privacy Principle 6 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Cross-border disclosure
Where personal information is disclosed to a third party located overseas, such as through Stripe or Google Analytics, the Corporation takes reasonable steps to ensure that party handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, in line with Australian Privacy Principle 8.
Security
The Corporation has implemented security measures to protect the personal information under its control. Users of this website should be aware that there are risks in transmitting information over the internet, and the Corporation cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted online. Once personal information comes into the Corporation’s possession, we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
Data breaches
In the unlikely event of an eligible data breach involving your personal information, the Corporation will respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Opting out

Email addresses
The Corporation will only record your email address to reply to enquiries you make. Email addresses will not be used or stored for any unrelated purpose, or disclosed to third parties. Other contact details you provide will only be retained where we respond to a request you have made, you provide information as part of a transaction with the Corporation, or you agree to be placed on our mailing list. You can unsubscribe from any mailing list communication at any time.
Individuals may remain anonymous or use a pseudonym when contacting us, for example when making a complaint or giving feedback, however this may limit our ability to assist you.
